The above mentioned project was discussed in IGNOU with Project Supervisor.     IGNOU wants the Project on the current financial data and current position of govt  companies.   1) Oriental Insurance Co Ltd. 2) National Insurance Co. Ltd & 3) United Insurance Co Ltd are facing financial crisis & are likely to be merged.  The financial position of Pvt  companies may or may not be so bad. So comparing the   Pvt   & public companies for justifying the future merger of 3 government companies is the aim of project.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx   IGNOU have suggested that project should be  limited to these 3 govt companies and 3 pvt companies ONLY.    Ratio Analysis is to be done for latest 5 years ( Minimum) So balance sheets of 6 companies will be required for uniform 5 years ie 2013-14 , 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, & 2017-18.
